Official Rendering of Kia Stonic Released
Kia Stonic has been doused in mystery with it being drenched in heavy camo earlier. But thankfully, due to Kia dropping the covers, we have had a look at the Stonic’s official rendering. And the car has left us impressed.
The Kia Stonic is to join the ranks of vehicles like the Toyota C-HR and Nissan Juke/Kicks, with whom the car will compete with. Featuring wheel arches, sharp front end with the brand’s signature grille, hidden door handles, muscular rear end and sleek LED headlight, the car has all the requirements to entice buyers.
But, instead of getting ahead and being too excited about it, it is essential to realize that these are renderings. Although shared by the Kia, they don’t qualify as a final product yet. But seeing how well the car looks, Kia may do well just to keep the styling.
There has been no word from the South Korean manufacturer regarding the car’s interiors, although there has been some indication that the car will have the same design within.
Naturally, in keeping up with latest technological trends, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be expected within the car. According to Kia, the customers will have the choice to heavily customize both the exterior and the interior of their Kia Stonic.
There is silence on the topic of the engine though. According to some rumors though, the US version will have a 1.6-liter petrol engine; while the Europe variant may carry a 1.4-liter petrol engine and a 1.6-liter diesel engine.
Also, possibly, front wheel drive has been chosen as a standard option. But there is no information if an all-wheel drive option will be included as an optional package.
There has been no word from Kia about the Stonic’s launch. Although, it might happen later this year or in early 2018.
