Toyota TRD Offering Body Kit for Lexus LX 570
Lexus and Toyota have had a long history of trying to differentiate their brand products, but some mixing has to happen if the Lexus’ flagship LX 570 is a re-bodied Toyota Land Cruiser.
Been in the market since 2007, the LX 570 has undergone a lot of design changes. Now, Toyota’s Racing Development tuning arm, which is better known as the TRD, is planning to offer a body kit for LX 570 in Japan.
The design of the Lexus LX570 for 2018 model was supposed to be revealed completely at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show, but the design was leaked earlier.
The TRD’s kit is more of a visual mod that consists of a redone rear bumper hinting at the dual exhaust system, a frontal grille-bumper replacement, and new wheels. Additionally, the buyers can avail the parts separately too. The cost of the wheels has been kept at $6,800, the rear bumper at $730, and the front end costing $ 2,100.
According to the sources, the TRD kit will be provided in the UAE as well as other GCC markets as the LX 570 “Sports” or “Superior” Model.
When the Lexus LX 570 launches this year at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show, it’s expected that the car’s price will be raised as well.
