Kia revealed its Picanto X-Line at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 that happened in the month of September. Revealed as the Picanto’s most powerful variant, along with a 98 horsepower engine. However, instead of a hatchback style, Kia went a step ahead and gave the car a crossover look.
Powering the Kia Picanto X-Line is a 3-cylinder turbocharged 1.0-liter petrol engine that produces 172 Nm Torque and 98 horsepower. The all-new engine lets the car go from 0-100km/h in just 10 seconds.
However, on the other end, the Picanto has an impressive fuel efficiency adding value to it with it taking only 4.5 litres for 100 km.
For the crossover SUV look, the car has rugged skid plates on the bumpers, an increase of 15 millimetres in the ride height, and black plastic cladding for its wheel arches. The fog lamp inserts and the grille have been given a detailing in lime green that can be optionally swapped to silver.
For the interiors, the X-Line has a leather finishing on its steering wheel along with green stitching. There’s even a 7-inch infotainment system which comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
It’s not known if the Picanto X-Line will make its way into the UAE and GCC market.
